Description
This postcard features the buildings and structures located at the Leakesville Lumber Company in Leakesville, Mississippi. The lumber companies operations were located on the banks of a river and a man can be seen standing on a raft out on the water with a pole to move him. Smoke stacks and trees can be seen behind the structures and buildings. A postmark dated June 1908 is located near the center of the image and the title of the card is printed along the top of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. D. E. Beauman in Citronelle, Alabama. The card is postmarked twice though neither of the postmarked are readable. A green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
