Description
This postcard features a color illustration of Front Street in Hattiesburg, Mississippi as seen looking west. Buildings line each side of the street with various signs, a sidewalk clock, and people on the sidewalks. People in horse drawn carriages or buggies are in the street. The title for the card is printed in red along the top of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. M. H. Newpass in Seneca Falls, New York. The card is postmarked New Orleans, Louisiana, February 16, 1910 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
Transcription
Feb. 16, 1910 I leave tomorrow night for Birmingham where I shall spend a few days. I want to go to Trinity Sat. morning. My next jump will be Atlanta then Savannah. I am well. My head is giving me no further trouble. Clara. Send male to Atlanta [sic]
