Description
This postcard features a black and white image of the interior of the J. C. Clark Drug Co. in Laurel, Mississippi, a soda shop style drug store with tables for seating throughout the room and a long bar on the right side of the room with the soda fountain behind it. the title of the card is printed beneath the bottom edge of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Lewis Carnes in Addison, Michigan. The card is postmarked Laurel, Mississippi, October 5, 1909 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

10-04-09 Am so glad you [and] Father could go North. I am still crippled. Have to be carried up [and] down stairs, have had 2 plaster casts on. This is the store All has stick in. isn't it pretty? Love to all. Jessie [sic]
