Description

This postcard features a black and white image of the First National Bank in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a three story building with some arched window and entrance details, dentil molding along the roof, and awnings on some of the second floor windows. The bank is connected to other buildings to the left including a furniture store. People are pictured walking the sidewalks and streets in front of the bank and horsedrawn carriages are in the street in front of the buildings on the left. Utility poles and a traffic light are visible at the street. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Annie Williamson in Meridian, Mississippi. The card is postmarked September 18, 1912 and green, one cent upside-down George Washington postage stamp. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

Dear Cousin:- I may get to go to see you all during the fair I am not sure yet if I can go to the fair or not I will let you know if I go. What are you doing these days? It is raining some here. Well ans Love your coz--Walter S [sic]
