Description
This sepia toned picture postcard features a mother and child at the steps of the front porch of a house. The porch is lined by wooden railing and the roof is pitched in the center. Tall windows line the front facadeof the house. A gate and fence encircle the house. The woman is wearing a high necked white blouse and long black skirt. The child is wearing a white dress. Other houses are seen on either side. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed sideways in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Laurel, Mississippi, December 25, 1908. The card is addressed to Mr. S. G. Clark and Family in Peden, Kemper County, Mississippi.
