Description

This black and white postcard features buildings in downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with people and horses and buggies on the street. The title on the right side of the card reads "5707 Front Street, Looking South from Ross Building, Hattiesburg, Miss." A postmark for Macon, Mississippi June 27, 1908 is upside down on the bottom half of the card. An inscription is written on the right side of the card. The photographer is listed in the lower right corner. The back of the postcard featuring Front Street looking south identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi June 26, 1908. The card is addressed to Master Chris Allen in Marion, Georgia.
