This black and white photograph features a view of the first landing of the grand staircase inside the new state capitol building in Jackson, Mississippi. The landing features decorative lighting, marble moldings, and a view of the stairs both leading up and down, as well as the marble molding on the underside stairs leading up to the next floor.
