Description

This black and white photograph features the locomotive and tender of a train on the tracks of the Louisville, New Orleans and Texas Railway, stopped in Vicksburg, Mississippi. A house up on a hill behind a wooden fence is seen behind the locomotive. "1890" is written in white near the bottom of the image but is barely seen. Other writing on the lower right is too faded to read. "L N O [and] T Vicksburg, Miss. About 1890" is written in blue ink on the back of the photograph.
