Description
This postcard features a color illustration of a model of Hotchkiss Bend at the Mississippi River at U. S. Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The model is a river shaped concrete structure with water and railing contained within. Trees are beside the model. A red brick building is depicted in the distance. The title of the card is printed along the top of the card and the location is printed along the bottom. The back of the card includes some information about the model printed in the top left that reads "This model was built to a horizontal scale of 1 : 500 and operated to determine effects of proposed structures on the bed of the river.
