Description
This color postcard features a large white two story building with four tall white columns at the entrance and smaller columns spaced throughout the wrap-around porch. The porch and second story balcony are both lined with white railing. Street lamps line the sidewalk in front and a United States flag is raised on a flagpole near the front entrance steps. The title in the upper right reads "Servicemen's Center, in Historic Natchez, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for postage stamp placement. The description in the upper left reads "Service Men's Center, In Historic Natchez, Miss. "A Home Away from Home" This beautiful center for visiting service men is an Elks Club Building which has been converted into an ideal center. It contains a lounge room, writing room, billiard room, game room, snack room, showers and swimming pool. This project is sponsored by the City of Natchez for the recreation of service men."
