This postcard features a color illustration of the Illinois Central shops in McComb, Mississippi. A view of the Roundhouse is on the left and the Depot with "McComb" on the roof and on a sign on the front facade is on the right. An arriving train with passengers and baggage carts is seen betweent he roundhouse and the depot Buildings are seen in the distance. The title of the card is printed beneath the bottom edge of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. J. Boffin in Chicago, Illinois. The card is postmarked McComb, Miss., July 1, 1929 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. “From Howard K. I am in McComb City,” is inscribed on the left half of the card, "McComb City" being a reference to the original name of the town.
