Description

This postcard features a black and white image of eight small, Black children and one older Black child posing on the Levee at Beulah, Mississippi with what appears to be tents behind them. The boys are all wearing dark pants and jackets with hats. The three boys in the front are standing on their knees while the four boys in the back are standing. The small girl is wearing a dress and a bonnet and appears to be crying as she stands in front of the older girl who is wearing a dress and standing with her hands on her hips. The original title of the card is written in white ink along the bottom of the card and contains offensive language. The date is written in the lower right corner.
