Description

This color postcard features the buildings and ornate posts with men in white uniforms standing in the street between the columns and people standing on the sidewalks on either side of the posts. Both posts are adorned with brass eagles at the top. The title in the lower right bottom reads "Main Entrance to the Navy Yard, Brooklyn, N. Y." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence, address, and postage stamp placement. The image of an eagle carrying a stars and stripes shield is in the upper left corner.
