Description
This color postcard features a naval ship in open water with a French flag on the stern of the ship. Mountains can be seen in the background. The title along the bottom of the card is in French and reads "Le Montcalm, Croiseur Cuirasse." which roughly translates to "The Montcalm, Armored Cruiser." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a Carte Postale (postcard) with instructions in French that read "Taus les pays etrangers n'acceptent pas la correspondence au recto. (Se renseigner a la Poste)" that roughly translates to a "Not all foreign countries accept two-sided correspondence. Inquire at the post." The card also provides indication for correspondence and address placement. There is a brief inscription but the card is not addressed, stamped or postmarked.
