Description

This black and white picture postcard features the deck side view of the ocean and two ships in the distance. Also visible are various parts and equipment on the deck. The handwritten title at the bottom of the card reads "A Man-o-War at Sea" and the photographer's name is illegibly handwritten in the lower right corner of the card. There is a visible crease along the right side of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides photography information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. Pieces of a red postage stamp are visible in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Norfolk, Virginia April 6, 1918. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. Emma Breaux in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
