This color postcard features a naval battleship out on the open water at night. United States flags fly on each end of the ship, three funnels/stacks are in the center of the ship, and a mast is on either side of the funnels/stacks. The moon is visible in the dark night sky. The image of an eagle in the center of two crossed United States flag is in the upper left of the card. The title in the lower left reads "U. S. Battleship Virginia." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence, address, and postage stamp placement.
