Description
This color postcard features a large naval battleship on open water. Dark smoke is emitting from the furthest funnel/stack in the center of the ship. A united states flag is flying from the stern of the ship. The title along the top reads "1278--U. S. Battleship "Missouri." 779 Officers and men. Length 388 feet. Main Battery 20 guns." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information, as well as, indication for correspondence, address, and postage stamp placement. The card is inscribed but is not stamped, addressed, or postmarked.

March 20--I have no cash and so will send this for your collection. You must have you book mon that full. It has rained several times today light shower. Anna [sic]
