Description

This color postcard features a large white naval ship in the water. A Unites States flag flies on the stern and a naval flag flies on a the bow. The title along the top of the card reads "Battleship "Illinois", Bay View." A new year's wish is handwritten diagonally on the upper right of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Yanktown, South Dakota, Dec. 30, 1928. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. B. F. Hoover in Morrison, Whiteside County, Illinois.
