Description

This black and white picture postcard features a large brick circular tower that is partially in water and partially on land. A concrete barrier separates the water on the left from the land on the right. Buildings and mountains are in the background and two children are pictured walking on the land. "Split" is handwritten at the bottom of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the card as the tower in Trogir in the upper left and the photographer's name, Dragutin Stuhler and "Split" are identified in the lower left corner. Split and Trogir are both cities in Croatia and the tower depicted is Kula sv. Marka or roughly translated at "The Tower of St. Mark. [via Google image]
