Description

In this handwritten letter, dated December 23, 1909, Bernard. B. Jones of Bristow Oklahoma writes to Mrs. Webb, Matilda Ann “Lit” Boyd Webb, in Kosciusko, Mississippi to wish her and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. He states "Distances and silence never keeps me from often thinking of your and yours and 'a noble woman's work well done.' " The letter is written on B. B. Jones Farm Lands Farm Loans" stationary and an envelope labeled "B.B. Jones (The Land Man) is included. The envelope is postmarked Bristow, Oklahoma, December 24, 1909 and a red, two sent George Washington postage stamp is placed sideways in the upper right corner.
