In this letter, dated January 14, 1947, J. G. de Roulhac Hamilton writes to Eunice J. Stockwell to let her know that he was unable to find any records for the Rawls family in the North Carolina Colonial and State records. The letter is typed on The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill stationary. The envelope is postmarked Chapel Hill, North Carolina, January 15, 1947.
