Description
The medal's obverse design features a bust portrait of Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., one of the most highly cited U.S. Supreme Court justices in history. The medal's reverse features an image of Lady Justice kneeling with a book in her proper left hand and a quill in her proper right. The Scales of Justice sit just behind her and the Supreme Court Building is pictured in the scene's background.
