Description

(Erased) Missing 1- The House is considering legislation to curb the practice of imposing federal rules and regulations on the states and cities without giving them funding to pay for them. These so-called un-funded mandates have increased over the past few years and critics say they amount to a hidden tax on states and localities. Is it time to stop them?; 2- The Balanced Budget Amendment will be considered next week in the House. The treasury Department recently issued a report saying that Mississippi would lose millions in federal funding if a balanced budget was passed and these programs were cut. What is your reaction to the argument that now is not the time to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment?; 3- Subcommittee assignments were completed this week in the National Security Committee, which was formerly Armed Services. What subcommittee will you have in the 104th Congress?
