Description

1- Last week, the Defense Base Closure Commission voted 7-1 to take Meridian Naval Air Station off the closure list. This was the third time we have survived this process. What are your feelings one week later?; 2- You have said this was a team effort, starting in Meridian and moving to Washington. What were the factors involved in saving NAS Meridian?; 3- Columbus Air Force Base, as expected, was also removed from the closure list. The people of the Golden Triangle also stepped up to defense their base and its prospects for the 21st century look good, don?╟╓t they?; 4- Now there is uncertainty about what President Clinton will do with the Base Closure list. There is some talk he could reject it and send it back to the Commission. What is the story on this?
