Description

Speaking with Representative Dennis Hastert of Illinois; 1- You came to me last year to talk about plans to mark the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Why is this issue important to you?; 2- Many Americans have a personal connection to what happened at Pearl Harbor, but I think we ought to makes sure young Americans are also make aware of this event in our nation?╟╓s history. Would you agree?;3- I was interviewed by a Japanese newspaper and they asked if this observance was going to be a chance for us to engage in ?╟úJapan Bashing.?╟Ñ I responded that it never entered my mind. Our purpose is to honor those who died and those who served in World War II. What is your reaction to that?;
