PAGE ONE: Which Executions were levied on [[?]] negroes as the property of Soitt Davenport, among which was a negro boy by the name of Jacob, about thirteen years of age, levied on by me as Sheriff as aforesaid and by me advertised to be sold on the first Tuesday in January 1823 — and the said boy Jacob, was accordingly, on that day exposed to public sale at the court house of said county, when Jesse Mitchell Sen. being the highest and best bidder became the purchaser of the said negro boy Jacob, for the sum of Three Hundred & Eighty Two Dollars.
