Description
This handwritten letter, dated February 9, 1944, is written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia to his mother, Catherine F. Bogan in West Point, Mississippi. The letter describes the state of uncertainty the army specialized training program is in at Washington and Lee due to a congressional investigation. The letter is signed "My love to all, Buddy." The envelope is postmarked Lexington, Virginia February 10, 1944 and the postage is designated as "free."
