This handwritten letter, dated August 29, 1944, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. in Durham, North Carolina to Juliette Chamberlin in Jackson, Mississippi. The letter thanks her for a cake and a portfolio she sent him. He describes the cake as "pre- Pearl Harbor quality."
