Description
This handwritten letter, dated May 28, 1945, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. in Belgium to Juliette Chamberlin in Jackson, Mississippi. The letter describes his activities in Belgium and what he hopes to accomplish. The letter goes on to describe how he and others in his unit spent V. E. Day (Victory in England Day) and how he hopes to go home within the next eighteen months. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service, May 30, 1945. A red six cent United States of America Air Mail stamp is in the upper right corner. "Back in Belgium after V. E. Day Belgium near Liege" is written in red around the addresses.
