Description
This handwritten letter, dated March 2, 1945, is written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. where he is stationed in France to Juliette Chamberlin in Jackson, Mississippi. The letter asks her not to worry about sending him things he's asked for if they're rationed or hard to find. The letter goes on to speculate on the packages that she's sent that appear to have been lost and discusses news from home. The letter is signed "All my love, Son." A purple postmark for Jackson, Mississippi, March 19, 1945, is stamped on the lower right corner of the first page of the letter. The air mail envelope is postmarked twice. The first postmark is for U. S. Army Postal Service, March 5, 1945 and the second is for Jackson, Mississippi, March 19, 1945. An army examiner ink stamp is in the lower left corner with a signature beneath it.
