Description
This handwritten letter, dated February 19 and 20, 1945, is written from W. N. (William Neill) Bogan, Jr. where he is stationed in France to his parents, W. N., Sr. and Catherine F. Bogan, in West Point, Mississippi. The letter describes the excitement the dollar she sent him caused at camp. The letter goes on to detail various correspondences, news from home, and his requests for things. The letter is signed "Devotedly, Buddy." The air mail envelope is postmarked twice. The first postmark is for U. S. Army Postal Service, February 22, 1945 and the second is for West Point, Mississippi, March 13, 1945. A red six cent air mail postage stamp is in the upper right corner.
