Description
This handwritten letter, dated April 30, 1943, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to his father, W. N. Bogan in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The letter describes the tests he's taken, his ill fitting uniform, and the qualification interviews he's taken part in. The letter is written on Camp Shelby Mississippi stationary with a purple eagle emblem in the top center of the page. The envelope is postmarked Camp Shelby, Mississippi, May 6, 1943 with "Free" handwritten where the postage stamp would typically be located.
