Description
This handwritten letter, dated May 9, 1943, is written from W. N. Bogan Jr. in St. Petersburg, Florida where he is stationed for training to his father in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The letter describes his trip to St. Petersburg and how busy he has been the past couple of days. the letter goes on to explain what he expects from the rest of his training. The envelope is addressed to Mrs. W. N. Bogan in West Point, Mississippi and is postmarked Saint Petersburg, Florida, May 10, 1943. "Free" is handwritten across the space typically reserved for postage stamps.
