Description

This black and white postcard features a live oak tree on the edge of the beach surrounded by a wooden platform. Three young ladies in early twentieth century dresses are sitting in the branches of the tree. A pier is seen in the background. The title in the lower right reads "A Cozy Spot, Ocean Springs, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A box is in the upper right corner where the postage stamp has been removed. The card is postmarked Ocean Springs, Mississippi, January 14, 1913. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Hattie Mills in Danville, Illinois.
