Description
This color postcard features two ladies in early 20th century clothing being rowed by a gentleman in a rowboat just off the bank of the bay with two rowboats docked on the bank behind them. The title in the upper left corner reads "On the Bay, Bay St. Louis, Miss." "Planchet 6 postcard Exchange, Pub." is typed in the bottom left of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for postage stamp placement. The card is inscribed in two places.
Transcription
Dear Miss Lola, This is my first installment in exchange for the beautiful and very interesting cards you were so thoughtful in sending me. Hope that they will find all well and happy. Sincerely, Julia D. B.; There are many "spots" as pretty as this which I think is quite a distance beyond (to our left) Dunbar's Factory.
