Description
This color advertising postcard features two images of gift and candy shops. The top image is red toned and includes Mary Ann's candy and gift shop. The signs around the exterior of the shop read "Gifts. Chocolate, Fudge, and Pralines. We ship pecans." The bottom image includes Carolyn's Gift Shop. The signs around the exterior of the shop read "Pralines and Chocolate Fudge. We Mail. Carolyn's Gift Shop." The location of the shops "3 Miles West of Bay St. Louis Bridge HI-WAY 90 Bay St. Louis, Miss." is in the center of the card between the images. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for postage stamp placement. The description in the upper left reads "Carolyn and Mary Ann's. Located on Highway 90.3 miles west of Bay St. Louis Bridge, in Bay St. Louis, Miss., established 1938. Now serving the traveling tourist faithfully for 16 years. Our own creation of Creamy Pralines. Also, paper shell pecans. J. P. Dauro, Owner-Operator."
