Description

This postcard features a black and white image of the entrance of the Edgewater Gulf Hotel in Gulfport, Mississippi. The hotel is a white, seven to nine story building with the middle section of the building having nine stories. The covered entrance features keyhole style cutouts and keyhole shaped windows and doors. Bushes and small trees line the front of the hotel and along the sidewalk in front. The title of the card is printed in the bottom left of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Will Dieters in Dubuque, Iowa. The card is postmarked Edgewater Park, Miss., January 30, 1951 and two green, one cent George Washington postage stamps are placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

Jan 29-1951 Edgewater Gulf Hotel How is the weather in Dubuque I hope it warms up by the time I get back. I am enjoying the climate here it is 65 degrees here. From dad [inset on the left] We are right near the gulf [sideways on the right] Enjoying myself very much.
