Description
This black and white postcard features a three story Victorian style house with a tower on the left with a pointed roof. A woman in an early twentieth century dress is standing beside a child in front of the house. The image is in the left of the card and the title in script below it identifies the house as "New Magnolia Pass Christian, Miss." An inscription is written in the empty space to the right and along the bottom. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Pass Christian, Mississippi, April 29, 1905. There is a red ink "rec'd" stamp for May 1, 1905 upside down on the left side. The card is addressed to Mr. J. C. [?] in Montgomery, Alabama.
Transcription
Dear Daddy: Wish you would come down here and take me out fishing and crabbing. We would have lots of fun. "Big Sis" will not do anything but sit around on the gallery. She will not play with me at all bc I am too little. Yours humbly, John C.
