Description
This postcard features a color illustration of boats and small yachts in the Gulfport harbor preparing for Regatta Day. A boardwalk lines the shoreline at the harbor and the boats are gathered near a pier that leads out onto the water from a building. The title of the card is printed along the bottom of the card beneath the image. The back of the postcard is addressed to Miss Annie Moore in Birmingham, Alabama. The card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi, August 10, 1909 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
