Description

This postcard features Christmas and New Year's greetings from Thigpen Hardware Company in Picayune, Mississippi. The black and white image in the center of the card features a group of men and women standing on the sidewalk at the storefront. The greetings are printed at the top and bottom of the card. The back of the card is addressed to C. E. Bailey in Macon, Georgia. The card is postmarked Picayune, Miss., December 16, 1948. The green one cent postage stamp in the upper right corner has been partially torn and other signs of damage are on the left half of the card and at the bottom right corner.
