Description
This postcard features a color illustration of Shell Road along the coastline in Gulfport, Mississippi. Colorful trees and a fence line are on the left side of the road and trees, a railroad track, and the Gulf waters with a pier are seen on the right. The title of the card is printed in red in the upper right. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. W. Maddox in St. Louis, Missouri. The card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi, July 3, 1912 and a green, one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. Transcription
Dear Tillie:- We had a nice long ride on this shell road this morning about twelve miles long. Its grander than the one at home. I thought of you because you like such trips. We expect to leave Wednesday for home. Give my love to all. Ag. [sic]
