Description

This postcard features a color illustration of a man standing beside a team of oxen that are hitched to a wagon loaded with pin wood in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Numbers are written in white on the ends of some of the logs. Trees are seen behind the wagon. The title of the card is printed in red along the top of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Mae Barr in South Bend, Indiana. The card is postmarked Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, March 1, 1909 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

Dear Mae, We have seen so many teams like t his. The weather is just grand. Every one is sick this morn. We have nearly killed ourselves. We are having lots of fun ust the same. MaMa [sic]
