Description

This color postcard features ladies in early 20th century clothing rowing two canoes on a body of water surrounded by trees. The title at the bottom of the card reads "Sporting, Waveland, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Waveland, Mississippi Aug. 9, 1909. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mr. Herbert Roueeff in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Having a dandy rest. This is a very pretty place an the bathing is fine. Will be at home by the end of the week. Time certainly flies. Hope you are in good health. [signature cut off]
