This postcard features a black and white image of the Masonic Temple in Columbus, Mississippi, a three story building with a tower on the left front corner and arched windows in the middle of the third story. A horse drawn carriage is in front of the temple and people are pictured standing on the sidewalk in front of the temple. A small, two story building with arched first floor windows stands the right of the temple. The title of the card is printed in the upper right of the image. The publisher's name is printed in the lower left corner of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mr. G. W. Johnson in Sparta, Georgia. A green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed sideways in the upper right corner. A inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

1/21/12 Dear son your letter received yesterday was glad [?] to hear from you hope you have better weather there by now today is Just Lovely here today sun warm and bright but may be raining by tomorrow I may go from here to Meridian [?] don't know yet will write a letter in a few days Love to all Papa [sic]
