Description
This color postcard features a church with a bell tower capped by a steeple. The steeple is surrounded by smaller steeples on the corners. The front of the church has a large arched window and a smaller building sits to the right of the church. Trees partially obscure the left half of the church. The title in the upper right corner identifies the church as "Columbus, Miss. First Baptist Church." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard, printed in Germany as part of the PCK series and provides import information as well as indication for correspondence, address, and postage stamp placement. The postage stamp has been removed. The card is postmarked Columbus, Mississippi, August 13, 1911. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Travie Livingston in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
