Description

This postcard features three color images of buildings on the Meridian College Campus in Meridian, Mississippi. The building in the top left is the Administration building at Meridian Woman's College, Meridian, Mississippi, a large three story building with a rotunda and a cupola on the roof. It is described as a "Safe home for Girls" and "the Largest Private College in the South." The building on the top right is the Administration building of the Meridian Male College in Meridian, Mississippi, a four story, brick building with a tower on each end and long driveway up front. The bottom image is of the Conservatory of Music, Meridian, Mississippi and the title below it says to "Write for Catalog." The title for each card is printed in red ink on the bottom edge of each image. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Martie Butler in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. The card is postmarked Meridian, Mississippi, September 3, 1909 and green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card and parts of the inscription is lost due to damage. [see transcription field]
