This black and white postcard features a scene of a horse drawn carriage with a man standing beside it in the middle of a dirt road. A scenic body of water surrounded by trees is on the right side of the road. The trees are reflected on the water. The title in the upper right corner reads "On the Road from the Prairies to Columbus, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Montgomery and Artesia R. P. O., August 20, 1914. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Ahna Kennedy in Cambria, Virginia.
