Description

This color postcard features a lake view with a white railed pier and a building on the bank. A mid-twentieth century car is parked near the pier. Tall pine trees line the back portion of the lake's bank. The title in the upper left corner describes the scene as "Picturesque Lake View Park, Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked twice. The first postmark is for Camp Shelby, Mississippi, August 3, 1946 and the second is for Caseyville, Illinois, August 8, 1942. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Donald Bollman in Caseyville, Illinois.
