Description

This color postcard features a two story brown brick building with large white columns at the front entrance and an arched stained glass window above the front double doors. A tall pine tree is on the corner of the lot and the building is surrounded by shrubs. Mid-twentieth century cars are parked on the street next to the building. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the item is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi Jun 12, 1942. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Haith.

Dear Folks Arrived yesterday P.M. at 4:45--train was very late. Fran came about 6:30 It's warm here this morning but there is a breeze. We haven't had breakfast yet. Don't work too hard and don't worry. Love Alice [sic]
