Description
This color postcard features a white navy ship in the open water. A United States flag is flying on the stern while a naval flag flies on the bow. A white and red flag flies on the mast near the bow. The image of a Unites States flag is in the upper left corner of the card. The title in the lower left corner of the card reads "Battleship Georgia, Length, 435 Feet, Speed, 19 knots. "Cyrus" is handwritten at the top center of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Rockland, Wisconsin April 18, 1909. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. Nellie B. Johnson in Cashtow, Wisconsin.

Dear Mamma:-Will drop you a card. We had already gone up when your letter came. Went up Friday call on Emma Peterson. Was up town Sak and at Ole Oleaons. Sunday was to meeting and there we first heard Tina was sick. Would have come up but we was afraid it would rain so we started home early was home before dark. I do not know whether we can come up now. But let us know if Tina is worse. We will come up. Let us know right away how she is. From Cyrus [sic]
